Dr. Prashanth H Southekal is the Founder and Managing Principal of DBP-Institute. He brings over 25 years of Information Management experience from over 80 companies including SAP, Shell, Apple, P&G, and GE. In addition, he has trained over 4,000 professionals world-over in Data and Analytics. Dr. Southekal is the author of 3 books - Data for Business Performance, Analytics Best Practices, and Data Quality, and writes regularly in Forbes, CFO.University, SAP Insider, Datavarsity, and FP&A Trends. He is an Adjunct Professor of Data Analytics at IE Business School (Madrid, Spain) where he received the teaching excellence award for the 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. In addition, CDO Magazine included Dr. Southekal in the TOP 75 LEADING DATA LEADERS of 2022. Dr. Southekal holds a PhD from ESC Lille (FR), an MBA from Kellogg School of Management (US), and ICD.D designation from Rotman School of Management (CA). Gary Cokins has been on the advisory board of DBPI since 2019. He is an internationally recognized expert, speaker, and author in business analytics and enterprise performance management systems. He is the founder of Analytics-Based Performance Management LLC, an advisory firm. His career included working in consulting for Deloitte, KPMG, EDS (now part of HP), and SAS. He has authored many books including Performance Management: Integrating Strategy Execution, Methodologies, Risk, and Analytics. Gary received has a BS degree with honors in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research from Cornell University, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Gary has published 3 books - Performance Management: Finding the Missing Pieces to Close the Intelligence Gap , Performance Management: Integrating Strategy Execution, Methodologies, Risk, and Analytics, and Predictive Business Analytics all published by John Wiley & Sons.

Steve Rosvold joined the advisory board of DBPI in 2023. He is the founder of CFO.University, a elearning company committed to the development of Chief Financial Officers. In his corprate career spaning over 3 decades, Steve has honed his ability to drive change, improve profitability, and ensure long-term financial health for businesses. Steve began his professional career with Cargill and moved into leadership roles, including the Senior Financial Officer of Cargill’s Global Energy business. In 1999 he became the Chief Financial Officer of ConAgra Malt, a global leader in the malt industry. An Augsburg University, Minneapolis, graduate, Steve was awarded a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. He is active in the community, as Executive Director of the Southwest Washington Executive Manufacturer’s Forum and Tandem Ride Coordinator for the Washington State School for the Blind.

DBPI's DAA (Data, Analytics and AI) Council is a select group of highly successful, accomplished, and educated professionals who produce valuable insights and knowledge on Data, Analytics and AI to educate the community. The DBPI DAA Council has about 10 accomplished professionals from diverse industry sectors from various countries. Most of the Council members are C-suite executives, Book Authors, Keynote speakers, Industry Alum of Fortune 500 companies, and PhD/MBA/MS Alumni of Kellogg, Princeton, Cornell, Chicago Booth, IIT, University of Toronto, etc.
The council meets 6 times a year on the latest trends on DAA (Data, Analytics and AI) and produces curated thought leadership content including use-cases, reference architectures, design patterns and anti-patterns, and other solutions in the form of articles, reports, blogs, webinars, and more.
